BIOGRAPHY The leading scorer in the Rangers` 1933 run to the Stanley Cup, Dillon was one of the Blueshirts` biggest stars in the mid-1930s. Born in the U.S. but raised in Canada, Dillon signed with the Rangers` minor-league affiliate in Springfield, Mass., and eventually played his way into an NHL contract.
Dillon joined the Rangers on Jan. 1, 1931 and remained a member of the team right through the 1939 playoffs. He never missed a regular-season game in that span, playing 409 in a row.
