One of Western Canadian players brought to the first Rangers team by coach Lester Patrick, Reinikka spent the first half of the 1926-27 season with the Rangers before being sent to the Springfield Indians for the balance of that season. His rights were later sold to a Canadian minor-league team in the week before the 1927-28 season opened.

Played under the name Ollie Rocco for part of the 1926-27 season.
