BIOGRAPHY
An outstanding goaltender who led the Rangers to the 1940 Stanley Cup championship and the 1937 Stanley Cup Finals, Dave Kerr was the only man to start in net for the Blueshirts for five consecutive seasons from 1936 to 1941. He missed only one game between 1934 and 1941.

Kerr`s greatest moment came in Game 6 of the 1940 Stanley Cup Finals, when he beat Toronto 3-2 in overtime, winning the Cup in his hometown. During that season, Kerr also had a 19-game unbeaten streak (14-0-5).
