The New York Rangers announced their 2012 preseason schedule today, which includes a total of six games, two of which will be played on neutral ice.
The Rangers 2012 preseason schedule will open with two games against the New Jersey Devils, with the first game on Wednesday, September 26 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., followed by a game on Friday, September 28, at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
New York will then face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, September 29, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa. It is the second consecutive season the Blueshirts will open their preseason in Albany against the Devils, followed by road games in Newark and Philadelphia.
The Blueshirts will continue their preseason campaign with a game against the New York Islanders on Thursday, October 4, at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. The Rangers will then travel to Kansas City, MO, for a neutral ice meeting with the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, October 6, at Sprint Center.
New York will conclude its 2012 preseason schedule against the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Los Angeles Kings, on Monday, October 8, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The Rangers will open their 2012-13 regular season schedule on the road against the Kings four days later on Friday, October 12.
The 2012 New York Rangers training camp begins with players reporting to Madison Square Garden Training Center on Friday, September 21.
