Here is a look at the seven players taken by the Rangers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Players are listed by the round in which they were drafted:








NOTE: The Rangers traded Alex Bourret to Phoenix in exchange for Pittsburgh's third-round pick (No. 90), which Phoenix had obtained in an earlier trade with the Penguins. The Rangers also traded their seventh-round pick (No. 201 overall) to Nashville as part of a deal that enabled them to reclaim their own fourth-round pick at No. 111 overall. That pick had been previously relinquished in the Feb. 26 trade for Christian Backman. In exchange for the No. 111 pick, the Rangers also dealt Nashville next year's fourth-round selection.
