Dallas goaltender Mike Smith put on a clinic with 39 saves on Sunday afternoon, as the Stars escaped Madison Square Garden with a 3-2 victory. Jaromir Jagr and Brendan Shanahan scored for the Blueshirts, who outshot the Stars by a lopsided 41-18 margin. The difference was Smith, who rebounded from a 1-0 deficit and held the fort until Brenden Morrow broke a 2-2 tie in the third.
