Avery to have surgery on left wrist

Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Sean Avery will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left wrist.

The procedure is scheduled for Thursday at the Hospital for Joint Disease in New York City, and will be performed by Dr. Martin Posner and Dr. Andrew Feldman.
