GAME NOTES: Rangers at Atlanta Thrashers
Tonight's Game
NYR AT ATL
The Rangers face off against the Atlanta Thrashers tonight at Philips Arena (7:30 p.m.) in the second of back-to-back games. The Blueshirts are currently tied for first place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 15-11-2 and rank fifth in the Eastern Conference with 32 points. The Rangers enter tonight's contest having lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs, 6-2, last night at Madison Square Garden to drop their record to 3-1-0 in the first of back-to-back games. In the second of back-to-backs, New York has posted a 1-2-0 record this season. The Blueshirts have recorded a point in each of their last seven road contests, posting a record of 6-0-1 over the span. The Thrashers, 13-13-1, are currently in 12th place in the Eastern Conference with 27 points and have won two of their last three contests.
