GAME NOTES: Rangers at Minnesota Wild
The Rangers face off against the Minnesota Wild tonight at the Xcel Energy Center (8:00 p.m.) in the first of back-to-back road contests vs. Northwest Division opponents. The Blueshirts are currently in second place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 17-13-3, and rank fifth in the Eastern Conference with 37 points. New York enters the contest having defeated the Penguins, 4-0, on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden and have now earned at least one point in three of their last four games, going 2-1-1 during the stretch. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will travel to Colorado to take on the Avalanche tomorrow, December 21, at the Pepsi Center (9:00 p.m.). The Wild, 19-12-2, are currently tied for first place in the Northwest Division with 40 points and have won their last three games.
