GAME NOTES: Rangers at Toronto Maple Leafs

Tonight's Game
The Rangers face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at the Air Canada Centre (7:00 p.m.) in the first of back-to-back games. The Blueshirts are currently tied for second place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 18-15-4, and rank eighth in the Eastern Conference with 40 points. New York enters the contest having defeated the Hurricanes, 4-2, on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden and have earned at least one point in three of the last five games (2-2-1). The Blueshirts have posted a record of 3-2-0 in the first game of back-to-back sets this season. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will return home tomorrow, December 30, to take on the Montreal Canadiens at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.). The Maple Leafs, 15-15-8, are currently in fifth place in the Northeast Division with 38 points and have lost five of their last six games. Tonight's game will mark the fourth and final meeting of the Rangers and Maple Leafs this season.
