GAME NOTES: Rangers at Calgary Flames
The Rangers face off against the Calgary Flames tonight at the Pengrowth Saddledome (9:00 p.m. ET) in the first of back-to-back road contests vs. Northwest Division opponents. The Blueshirts are currently tied for second place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 20-15-4, and rank sixth in the Eastern Conference with 44 points. New York enters the contest having defeated the Canadiens, 4-3, in overtime on Sunday at Madison Square Garden and have now won their last three games. The Rangers have posted a record of 4-2-0 in the first game of back-to-back sets this season. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will travel to Vancouver to take on the Canucks tomorrow, January 3, at General Motors Place (10:00 p.m.). The Flames, 19-14-7, are currently tied for third place in the Northwest Division with 45 points and have won their last two games.
