GAME NOTES: Rangers at Vancouver Canucks

The Rangers face off against the Vancouver Canucks tonight at General Motors Place (10:00 p.m.) as they continue their Western Canada road trip. The Blueshirts are currently tied for second place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 20-16-4, and rank sixth in the Eastern Conference with 44 points. New York enters the contest having lost to the Flames, 4-3, last night at the Pengrowth Saddledome and have now won three of their last four games. The Rangers have posted a record of 2-3-1 in the second game of back-to-back sets this season. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers on Saturday, January 5, at Rexall Place (10:00 p.m.). The Canucks, 22-14-4, are currently in first place in the Northwest Division with 48 points and have won five of their last seven games.
