Game Notes: Rangers at Buffalo Sabres
The Rangers face-off against the Buffalo Sabres tonight at the HSBC Center (7:00 p.m.) in the first game of a back-to-back set. The Blueshirts are currently in third place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 30-24-8, and rank eighth in the Eastern Conference with 68 points. New York enters the contest having been defeated by the Canadiens, 6-5, in a shootout on Tuesday at the Bell Centre and have now earned at least one point in five straight contests (3-0-2). The Rangers have posted a 7-3-1 record in the first game of a back-to-back set this season. Following today's match, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the Florida Panthers, tomorrow, February 24, at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.).
