Game Notes: Rangers at Tampa Bay Lightning
Tonight's Game
The Rangers face-off against the Tampa Bay Lightning today at the St. Pete Times Forum (7:30 p.m.) in the second game of a back-to-back road set. The Blueshirts are currently in third place in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 37-25-9, and rank sixth in the Eastern Conference with 83 points. New York enters the contest having been defeated by the Panthers, 3-2, yesterday at the BankAtlantic Center to end their point streak at 13 games. The Rangers are 10-6-3 vs. Southeast Division opponents this season. Following today's match, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tuesday, March 18, at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.) to begin a 10-game stretch vs. Atlantic Division opponents to close out the regular season. The Lightning, 28-35-8, are currently in fifth place in the Southeast Division standings with 64 points and have won their last two games. Tonight's game will mark the fourth and final meeting this season.
