Rangers and Garden of Dreams Support Hockey Fights Cancer
Host Dream Night for children and families from Ronald McDonald House

In support of the National Hockey League's Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, the New York Rangers and the Garden of Dreams Foundation held a Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night on October 17, 2008.
As a part of the Awareness Night, the Rangers and Garden of Dreams hosted children and families from partner charity Ronald McDonald House of New York for a "Dream Night" at Madison Square Garden.
The children had an opportunity to sit rink-side for warm-ups with MSG broadcasters before watching the Rangers take on the Toronto Maple Leafs from a catered luxury suite. Former Rangers Rod Gilbert, Adam Graves, and Gilles Villemure each visited with the children throughout the course of the night, taking pictures, signing autographs and distributing special gift bags.
In addition to meeting Rangers alumni and broadcasters, the group had the thrill of being welcomed on GardenVision during the game – an experience that they will never forget.
Also as a part of the Awareness Night, special Hockey Fights Cancer ties were worn by Rangers hockey executives, coaching staff and MSG personalities during the game and will be auctioned off at a later time, with proceeds to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation and Hockey Fights Cancer. Additionally, to raise awareness for this important cause, Rangers players are wearing Hockey Fights Cancer decals on their helmets for the entire month of October and the "Reflections on a Hockey Season Photo Book" is on sale in the MSG Double Teamed Store with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Hockey Fights Cancer.
