Game Notes: Rangers at Atlanta Thrashers

Tonight's Game
The Rangers face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers tonight at Philips Arena (7:00 p.m.). The Blueshirts currently sit atop the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 18-10-2, and rank second in the Eastern Conference with 38 points. The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the Flames, 3-0, Sunday at Madison Square Garden, and have won four of their last seven games. Following tonight's match, the Rangers will travel to New Jersey to face-off against the Devils on Friday, December 12, at the Prudential Center (7:00 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back set. The Thrashers, 9-14-3, currently rank 14th in the Eastern Conference standings with 21 points, and have lost eight of their last 10 games.
