In honor of the holiday season, Garden of Dreams once again volunteered to brighten the lives of needy families this year through the Foundation's 3rd annual Adopt-A-Family holiday program. The Adopt-A-Family initiative partners Madison Square Garden and Cablevision employees with less fortunate families from the Children's Aid Society. The families are asked to create holiday "wish lists" and MSG/Cablevision employees "adopt" the families by purchasing gifts from the families' wish lists.

Rangers alum Rod Gilbert was on hand to spread some holiday cheer to the Children's Aid Society.
In total, 100 families were adopted by the employees of MSG and Cablevision, 17 of which were adopted by Rangers front office staff, coaches, trainers and players.

On December 15, those families and employees were united at MSG for a fun-filled evening of music, games, food, laughter and much more. Eleven MSG celebrities, including Rod Gilbert and Adam Graves, were at this unique celebration to provide memories that these families will never forget!

"This is a wonderful program that we all look forward to every year," stated Gilbert. "It was nice to be able to connect with many of the adopted families. They were all certainly very appreciative."

In addition, Garden of Dreams made a special delivery of gifts to one of the 100 families on December 17, with representatives from all areas of Madison Square Garden on-hand. Among the many new gifts delivered to the family of seven were dishes, bed linens, clothing, toys, games and more. The family that received the special delivery was selected by the Children's Aid Society.

Children's Aid Society, a partner of Garden of Dreams, is a community-based organization that provides services for every aspect of a child's life, from infancy through adolescence, and includes education, health, counseling, adoption and foster care, career readiness, arts and recreation, and emergency assistance.
