On March 22, the New York Rangers hosted the second "Garden of Dreams Night" of the 2008-09 season to raise awareness of the Garden of Dreams Foundation and to help make dreams come true for children in crisis.

As part of the evening's festivities, children from several Garden of Dreams partner organizations attended pre-game warm-ups and watched the Rangers take on the Ottawa Senators from a catered suite.

One child from Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley sang the national anthem and another child from Make-A-Wish Connecticut participated in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the game.

A child from Make-A-Wish New Jersey jammed on guitar with MSG's game organist to "Enter Sandman" by Metallica, while another child from Life Center served as the evening's honorary PA Announcer and a teen from Children's Aid Society joined MSG Network's Al Trautwig as an honorary reporter.

Additionally, 10 children from Garden of Dreams participated in a Rangers “high-five line” as players entered the ice for warm-ups.

Garden of Dreams is a non-profit organization that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden, including the Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, MSG Media, MSG Entertainment and Fuse to "make dreams come true for kids in crisis." Garden of Dreams partners with local children's hospitals, "wish" organizations and community-based organizations to build on-going, unforgettable programs for children in the tri-state area who are suffering from devastating illness, homelessness, abuse, hunger, extreme poverty and tragedy.
