Rangers call up Anisimov for Game 7
With Betts injured, Hartford scoring leader gets call to Blueshirts

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Artem Anisimov has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
|Artem Anisimov made his NHL debut just under three months ago on Adam Graves Night at Madison Square Garden.
During the regular season, he registered 37 goals and 44 assists for 81 points, along with 51 penalty minutes in 80 games with Hartford. He ranked fifth in the AHL in points (81), fourth in goals (37) and eighth in power play goals (16). He also tied for third in the league with eight game-winning goals. His 37 goals and 81 points led all Wolf Pack skaters, while his 29 assists ranked second on Hartford.
The 6-4, 194-pounder recorded 21 multi-point performances this season, including five three-point efforts. He also registered a career-high, eight-game point streak from January 9 at Springfield to January 24 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, tallying 11 points (five goals and six assists) during the stretch. Anisimov recorded three points (one goal and two assists) and a plus-three rating as a member of the PlanetUSA AHL All-Stars at the AHL All-Star Classic on January 26.
In addition, he skated in one game with the Rangers this season, making his NHL debut on February 3 vs. Atlanta.
The Yaroslavl, Russia native was originally the Rangers’ second round selection, 54th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
