Rangers prospect helps Rockets beat QMJHL champions 6-4

Rangers prospect Tysen Dowzak and the WHL champion Kelowna Rockets made it a perfect 2-for-2 at the Memorial Cup tournament in Rimouski, Quebec, on Monday night, beating QMJHL champ Drummondville 6-4.
Dowzak, a stay-at-home defenseman playing for the Rockets as an overage junior this season, was plus-1 for the game with a shot on goal. His team trailed 2-1 after one period, but came back to tie the score after two.
Drummondville went ahead 4-3 on a power-play goal by Marc-Olivier Vachon at 7:23 of the third period, but the Rockets stormed back with three unanswered goals over the final 10:34.
Dallas Stars prospect Jamie Benn, a 2007 fifth-round pick, was the hero for Kelown. Benn scored four goals, including two at even strength, one shorthanded and one on a power play. Benn finished the game with five points
Dowzak was on the ice killing a penalty when Benn notched the game's first goal at 4:02 of the opening period.
The red-hot Rockets complete round-robin play tonight against OHL champion Windsor. Should they win, they will enter the semifinals as the No. 1 seed.
