Rangers Daily Prospect Update -- Aug. 11

Tuesday was a big day for two European players whose rights are owned by the Rangers. In the Czech Republic, 2006 Rangers draftee Lukas Zeliska scored a pair of goals to lead the Havirov Panthers to a 7-3 win over a visiting team from Krakow, Poland. His first goal gave Havirov a 2-0 lead at 13:59 of the first period, and his third goal closed the scoring at 18:32 of the third period. In Russia on Tuesday, Rangers 2009 seventh-round draft pick Mikhail Pashnin made his KHL preseason debut in Moscow CSKA's 5-2 win over Chekhov. Although Pashnin did not crack the scoresheet, it was a big night for the 20-year-old who was chosen No. 1 overall in the 2009 KHL draft.
