Rangers Daily Prospect Update -- Sept. 1

Rangers goaltending prospect Scott Stajcer was impressive in his 2009 OHL preseason debut on Monday night, even though his Owen Sound Attack team fell to visiting Mississauga St. Michael's 4-2.

Stajcer, a Rangers' fifth-round draft pick last June, stopped 36 of 40 shots and 24 of 25 shots in the third period alone as the Attack lost its preseason opener.

Stajcer might not see much mOre OHL preseason action, since he will be part of the Rangers' prospects team at next week's Traverse City Prospects Tournament.
