Tonight's Game
The Rangers face-off against the Washington Capitals tonight at Verizon Center (7:00 p.m.), in a rematch between 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal opponents. The Blueshirts currently rank second in the Atlantic Division standings, and fourth in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 2-1-0 (four pts.). New York enter tonight's contest having defeated New Jersey, 3-2, on Monday at Prudential Center to extend their winning streak to two games. It was the Rangers 14th win over the Devils in their last 23 meetings (14-6-3). Washington enter the contest with a 2-0-1 (five pts.) record, and rank second in the Eastern Conference. Following tonight's game, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Madison Square Garden (5:00 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back home set.
