On Thursday, November 19, Garden of Dreams spokesperson Henrik Lundqvist and teammate Aaron Voros joined 20 children from Harlem Dowling for an afternoon of fun at the Sony Technology Wonder Lab, as part of the Garden of Dreams 'Show Kids NY' program.
The children, on a field trip as a part of their science class, were greeted by Lundqvist and Voros upon their arrival before embarking on their exploration of the Wonder Lab. Their tour started with the children creating a digital profile by entering their name, favorite color and music genre, taking their picture, and recording their voice to personalize the exhibit experiences for each of them.

Alongside their favorite Rangers, the children were able to experiment and be creative using the different equipment at the Lab to play music, program robots, and simulate open heart surgery. Children were even able to learn how to create animation and do programming similar to how video games are created.
“Garden of Dreams is an organization that the Garden started to have the teams give back,” said Voros. “To be here and provide them this day of fun and learning is a very good thing to be a part of.”
After finishing the tour, Lundqvist and Voros distributed gift bags and signed autographs for the children who enjoyed pizza before leaving the Wonder Lab.
The Sony Wonder Technology Lab is a free four-story, interactive technology and entertainment museum for all ages. Located in mid-town Manhattan, SWTL inspires creativity in a high-quality, engaging and family friendly learning environment.
