On Thursday, December 3rd, the Rangers and Garden of Dreams invited 20 children from the Life Center to experience Dylan’s Candy Bar, the world’s largest candy store, with Sean Avery and Brandon Dubinsky.

Sean Avery really got into the spirit of the trip to Dylan's Candy Bar, having his face painted like Spiderman and distributing some candy by hand.

The children joined Avery and Dubinsky for a number of interactive activities and games including gumball machine decorating, name that candy, musical chairs, and a candy shopping spree.

The event, which was a part of the Garden of Dreams Show Kids NY program, allowed the children to closely interact with the players and to experience one of the many attractions New York City has to offer in a unique way.

The players had a great time too; Dubinsky helped the kids choose their sweets for the candy spree and Avery even got his face painted.

“The most important thing,” Avery said, “is giving these kids an experience that they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to enjoy.”

Following the games and activities, the group received goodies from the players and enjoyed a special pizza party.

“I really enjoyed spending time with these kids,” Dubinsky said. “I thought this was great!”
