17th Annual Toy Drive to be held Dec. 7
Defenseman Matt Gilroy autographs a jersey at last year's Toys for Tots Toy Drive. Gilroy will return to the Toy Drive as one of six players at the event.
The New York Rangers will continue a 17-year tradition this season with their annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive.  Partnering with the United States Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program, the New York Rangers will collect toys for needy children in the tri-state area.

On Tuesday, December 7th, the Rangers will host their annual Toy collection in the Theater Lobby at MSG from 4-7pm.  Rangers great Adam Graves and current Blueshirts Derek Boogaard, Brian Boyle, Steve Eminger, Matt Gilroy, Michael Sauer, and Derek Stepan will be on hand to provide autographs and photo opportunities.

Players will sign two at a time. Boyle and Boogaard will appear first from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by Eminger and Gilroy from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Rookies Sauer and Stepan will sign from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fans must bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots for entry to the event, and in exchange will receive an autograph from a current player.  Fans may go through the line for all three signing sessions, provided that they donate a toy each time they enter the line.

In addition to the toy collection, fans that donate will have an opportunity to participate in various Rangers activities including Rangers Road Tour Activities, face painting, caricaturists, balloon sculptors, Santa and more!

The Theater Lobby at MSG entrance is located on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, the same as the Madison Square Garden main entrance.

The annual Toys for Tots drive has such a impact on the tri-state area, as well as the Rangers organization; because it allows the team and the fans to join forces and give back to the community, serving children in need.

Last year the Rangers collected over 1,200 toys for children in need because of the organization’s dedicated and compassionate fans.
