The Rangers will conclude a home-and-home set against the New York Islanders tonight, Dec. 3, at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.), in the second game of their seventh back-to-back set this season. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and sixth in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 15-11-1 (31 pts). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having defeated the New York Islanders, 6-5, last night at Nassau Coliseum, and are now 5-2-0 in their last seven games. The Islanders enter the contest with a 5-13-5 (15 pts) record to rank 15th in the Eastern Conference, and have lost 15 of their last 16 games (1-12-3). Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will begin a home-and-home set against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Madison Square Garden (5:00 p.m.).
