Rangers, GDF show kids Dylan’s Candy Bar
Dubinsky, Christensen enjoy a fun evening with Harlem Dowling youngsters
On Monday, December 20th, the Rangers and Garden of Dreams Foundation hosted children from Harlem Dowling for an evening at Dylan’s Candy Bar, the world’s largest candy store, with Brandon Dubinsky and Erik Christensen.
The kids were able to participate in a number of exhilarating activities with Dubinsky and Christensen, such as name that candy, candy dance, musical chairs, candy shopping spree and even a cookie decorating activity.

Erik Christensen, who tallied a game-deciding goal for the Rangers in a shootout four days earlier against Phoenix, enjoyed being a part of the event. “As hockey players we are very fortunate to be able to do what we are doing,” he said. “It feels good to be here. We’re having fun, enjoying each other’s company.”
The kids were given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run through Dylan’s Candy Bar and fill up a bucket as fast as possible with all of their favorite candy. Dubinsky and Christensen blended right in with the kids during the race and were just as excited to weave in and out of the crowd in search of their sweet desires.
“I did the same event last year and I wanted to do it again this year,” Dubinsky said. “I love seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces. And I love playing with them, goofing off and acting like a kid again.”
