The New York Rangers joined Ice Hockey in Harlem for their 24th Annual Winter Sports Auction on Monday, December 20, at Planet Hollywood in Times Square.
This year's event featured numerous Rangers players and alumni, who were all on-hand to support Harlem’s charitable youth hockey program.
Rangers players Artem Anisimov, Steve Eminger, Vinny Prospal, and Marc Staal, as well as alumni Rod Gilbert, Andre Dore, Nick Fotiu, Pete Stemkowski, and Gilles Villemure all pitched in to sign autographs and mingle with fans who enjoyed a special evening that featured a live auction, silent auction and raffle.
Ice Hockey in Harlem is a non-profit community-based organization for underprivileged youths that uses hockey to promote academic achievement, responsibility, teamwork, and good character. The objective of the organization is to provide inspiration, encouragement and guidance to children, leading to better life experiences, education and career opportunities. Since 1987, Ice Hockey in Harlem has enriched the lives of thousands of inner-city boys and girls.
