The Rangers will face-off against the Boston Bruins in an Original Six match-up today at TD Garden (1:00 p.m.), to begin a four-game road trip. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and seventh in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 40-30-5 (85 pts). The Rangers enter today's contest having been defeated by the Ottawa Senators, 2-1, in a shootout on Thursday at Madison Square Garden to extend their season-high point streak to six games, and are now 7-1-1 in their last nine contests. The six-game point streak is the longest for New York since last season from Mar. 24 to April 3 (5-0-1). The Bruins enter the contest with a 41-22-10 (92 pts) record to rank third in the Eastern Conference, and have won their last two games. Following today's contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, Mar. 30, at HSBC Arena (7:00 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back set.
