Pregame: Rangers vs. Dallas
Traverse City Central

Tonight's Game
NYR VS. DAL
The Rangers prospects continue play in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich., tonight. The Blueshirts are coming off a 5-2 victory over St. Louis on Saturday -- a game that saw defenseman Blake Parlett tie the team tournament record of three assists in one game. The Rangers got goals from Tim Erixon, Randy McNaught, Carl Hagelin, Ryan Bourque, and Jonathan Audy-Marchessault. Three of the goals came on the power play. Tonight, the team goes right back to work against a talented Dallas squad that dominated Carolina 8-2 in its opener on Saturday. Forward Matt Fraser had a hat trick for the Stars in that game, and three other players also had three-point nights. Game time is 6 p.m. ET and will air on MSG. Fans outside the Rangers' broadcast territory can watch the MSG broadcast on the NHL Network. Last year, the Rangers beat the Stars 7-2 in the fifth-place game. Like the Rangers, Dallas entered the tournament field in 2006, and the Stars were the 2008 Traverse City champions.

Tonight's Opponent
Glennie
Like Saturday's opponent, the St. Louis Blues, Dallas has brought only 22 players to Traverse City -- three fewer than the Rangers. The Stars, who displayed their explosive offensive potential in crushing Carolina on Saturday, will be looking to pay the Rangers back for a 7-2 Blueshirts rout in last year's fifth-place game at this tournament. Dallas has three players on its roster with AHL experience and a strong goaltending tandem that features former first-round draft pick Jack Campbell, a hero of Team USA's gold medal run at the 2010 World Junior Championships. Campbell will likely get the stat tonight, since his partner, Tyler Beskorowany, started on Saturday. In addition to Campbell, there are two other former first-round picks on the Dallas roster in hulking, 6-foot-7 defenseman Jamie Oleksiak and skilled center Scott Glennie. The No. 8 overall pick in 2009, Glennie had three assists on Saturday, while teammate Matt Fraser, an undrafted winger who scored 74 points in the WHL last season, picked up a hat trick.
