The Rangers will begin a six-game homestand when they face-off against their Original Six rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.), in their 2011-12 regular-season home opener. The Blueshirts currently rank fourth in the Atlantic Division standings, and 10th in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 3-2-2 (8 pts). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having defeated the Winnipeg Jets, 2-1, on Monday at MTS Centre, and have now won three of their last four games. New York completed a season-opening, seven-game road trip with a record of 3-2-2 (8 pts), including a 3-1-0 mark on their four-game Western Canada swing. The Maple Leafs enter the contest with a 5-2-1 (11 pts) record to rank third in the Eastern Conference, and have lost two of their last three games. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Madison Square Garden (3:00 p.m.), as they continue their six-game homestand.
