Graves visits with families at Rusk Institute
Rangers great reads to children from book selected by Season Subscriber
The two-time Stanley Cup champion stopped by the hospital to talk to numerous children and families, while doing his best to provide a distraction to each of the patients on hand.
|Adam Graves spent a memorable day with youngsters at the Rusk Institute at NYR Medical Center on Oct. 10.|
In 2009, Graves helped Mayo cheer up one of his close friends who was battling cancer. Both Mayo and Graves took turns reading to the kids, who listened attentively and were even complimented by Graves afterwards for their behavior.
In addition to reading to the kids with Mayo, Graves signed autographs, posed for pictures and handed out goodies from the Rangers Gift Chest including blankets, hats, playing cards and much more.
