Rangers put spotlight on Family Dynamics

Members of the New York Rangers joined alumnus and honorary chairman Adam Graves for the 16th Annual Family Dynamics fundraising event on Monday, January 9th at the MSG Theater Lobby.

Michael Del Zotto, Dan Girardi, and Wojtek Wolski attended on behalf of the Rangers and shared a fun-filled night with kids from the Family Dynamics program. The kids were treated to numerous interactive games, including air hockey and bubble hockey, as well as various carnival-style activities. The highlight for many of the kids, in what has become the event’s signature activity over the last few years, was having the opportunity to play floor hockey with some of the Rangers players. 

Every child attending also had a chance to receive each player's autograph and speak to the players one-on-one.

Rangers defensemen Dan Girardi and Michael Del Zotto were two of the three Blueshirts who turned out for the 16th annual Family Dynamics fundraiser.

Graves, who has been a long time supporter of the event, was once again recognized for his commitment to the Family Dynamics. As a part of the stage program, which included introductions of the Rangers players, Graves applauded Del Zotto, Girardi and Wolski for their support and thanked them for taking time out of their schedule to assist Family Dynamics and the children it serves.

Before the event closed, a live auction was conducted offering a number of unique Rangers items, including a suite to a game, a Zamboni Ride and autographed memorabilia from Graves, Ryan McDonagh, Marian Gaborik as well as Henrik Lundqvist.

Family Dynamics, a member of SCO Family of Services, is dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect. Founded in 1975, Family Dynamics provides community-based, center-based and in-home services for children and families in central Brooklyn. Core services include family counseling, prevention, in-school and after-school programs and adult literacy and workforce preparedness.

Family Dynamics is supported by the Rangers and is a charity partner of the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company to "make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles."
