MSG to carry all NYR first-round games
Network will air one-hour pregame and postgame shows, plus team updates
MSG will have the New York region exclusive telecast of every New York Rangers game in the first round of the NHL Playoffs starting Thursday, April 12, when the team faces the Ottawa Senators at Madison Square Garden at 7:00 p.m. Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti will call the action from the booth, while Al Trautwig hosts each game telecast and John Giannone reports rinkside.
MSG will telecast exclusive pregame and postgame shows for each first round playoff game. The “Nissan Rangers Game Night” pregame show will start one hour prior to puck drop and the 60-minute “Mercedes Postgame Show” will immediately follow the conclusion of the game. Trautwig will host the pregame and postgame shows and will be joined by analysts Ron Duguay and Mike Keenan, who coached the Rangers’ 1994 Championship team.
Starting at 2:00 p.m. on each game day, Bill Pidto and Duguay will host live, one-minute updates twice-an-hour from the Geico MSG Studios, giving fans the latest information from the Rangers and around the NHL.
In addition, MSG Networks’ comprehensive hockey show, “HOCKEY NIGHT LIVE,” will continue through the playoffs every Saturday night, offering fans the latest playoffs news and updates. Trautwig will host each show and will be joined by analysts Ken Daneyko, Dave Maloney, Billy Jaffe and Stan Fischler.
