Here is a look at the players taken by the Rangers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The Rangers made a total of four picks (No. 28, No. 59, No. 119, and No. 142). Players are listed by the round in which they were drafted:


NOTES: During Saturday's draft, the Rangers traded their 2012 third-round pick (No. 59 overall) to Nashville in exchange for the Predators' third-round pick in 2013, a draft that will be much deeper than this year's. Nashville selected center Brendan Leipsic with the 2012 choice obtained from the Blueshirts. The Rangers also traded their 2013 fifth-round pick to Nashville in exchange for the Predators' 2012 fifth-round pick, which was used to draft Danish right wing Thomas Spelling at No. 142 overall.
