Rangers and Madison Square Garden Host Garden of Dreams Night
On Monday, December 2, the New York Rangers and Garden of Dreams hosted a very special evening for 35 children and their families at the Rangers-Jets match up at Madison Square Garden. Garden of Dreams Night provided once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children from several Foundation partner organizations including Children’s Aid Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center, Police Athletic League NYC, SCO Family of Services and WHEDco.

Kicking off the evening, Mayelyn and Brianna from Children’s Aid Society blew Rangers fans away with their performance of the United States of America and Canadian national anthem’s respectively while eight year old, Oscar from NYU Langone Medical Center walked to center ice for the Ceremonial Puck Drop. During the singing of the national anthems, Garden of Dreams child Giovanni could be found standing with the New York Rangers players as part of the night’s starting line-up.
Sights and sounds of Garden of Dreams children could been seen and heard throughout the night as various children participated in other interactive elements such as honorary PA announcer, guest reporters, honorary game director, honorary musician, honorary “blue crew” members, guest zamboni riders and more!
Children and families enjoyed the game from “Henrik’s Crease” seats donated to Garden of Dreams from Foundation spokesperson and Rangers goalie, Henrik Lundqvist.
