Glass, 30, skated in 67 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins this past season, registering four goals and nine assists for 13 points, along with 90 penalty minutes. He established career-highs in hits (247) and blocked shots (57) during the season. Glass led the team and ranked eighth in the NHL in hits, and ranked second among Penguins forwards in blocked shots. He also skated in eight playoff games, ranking fifth on the team in hits (26), and second among team forwards in blocked shots with eight.

In 377 career NHL games with Florida, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Pittsburgh, the 6-1, 210-pounder has registered 18 goals and 36 assists for 54 points, along with 458 penalty minutes. Glass made his NHL debut with Florida on November 12, 2007 vs. Carolina, and tallied his first career NHL point with a goal on January 22, 2008 vs. Ottawa. In 2011-12, he established career-highs in games played (78), goals (five), assists (11), points (16), and shots on goal (86) as a member of the Jets. Glass skated in his 300th career NHL game on April 3, 2013 at the NY Rangers. He has registered one goal in 37 career NHL playoff games. He tallied his first career NHL playoff goal in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on May 1, 2013 vs. the NY Islanders as a member of the Penguins.

Glass has also skated in 91 career games in the American Hockey League (AHL), registering 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points, along with 189 penalty minutes. He established AHL career-highs in games played (44), assists (nine), points (13), and shots on goal (65) with the Rochester Americans during the 2008-09 season.

The Regina, Saskatchewan native was originally selected by Florida in the ninth round, 265th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
