Blueshirts fan, it's time to cast your vote for the 2008-09 Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award presented by Emblem Health. From March 4 to March 31, be sure to cast your vote for the Rangers player that you feel "goes above and beyond the call of duty."
Following the 1987-88 season, the Rangers established the award dedicated to paralyzed New York City police officer Steven McDonald, who was shot in the line of duty.
When you cast your vote, you will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes as well, with the Grand Prize winner receiving an autographed jersey from the player who is selected to receive the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award presented by Emblem Health!

Each season, one of the most popular events on the Rangers' calendar comes at the very end of the final regular season game.For those who have experienced it, the Blueshirts Off Our Backs ceremony – in which Rangers players remove their game-worn jerseys, hand them over to fans and then autograph them – is an unforgettable moment.
This season, the Rangers organization is proud to celebrate Rangers fans and their indomitable True Blue Spirit by entering a contest in which clues are revealed during Rangers games in March and April.
