RANGERS WHO WORE #11 BEFORE MESSIER

Mark Messier was the last Rangers player ever to wear No. 11, but he was certainly not the first. A total of 33 players wore the number before it reached The Captain, and one of them, Vic Hadfield, wore it for even more games than Messier. In fact, Hadfield was the first Rangers player to wear both No. 11 and the captain's "C."
