Along with hosting Rangers Radio, Jim Cerny is currently in his third season as the beat writer for NewYorkRangers.com, and he also pens the NHL blog, Jim Cerny’s Rink Rap.
Jim has covered the National Hockey League as a member of the media since 1989, and has been a fixture at Madison Square Garden for many of those years, including the Stanley Cup-winning season of 1993-94 when he was with the Rangers every step on their historic journey. Jim has worked a total of five Stanley Cup Finals, four NHL All Star Games, and the Canada Cup and World Cup of Hockey tournaments in his career.
He spent four years hosting the talk show “Rink Rap” in New York in the early 1990’s before becoming the play-by-play voice of the Islanders in 1997. Jim later co-hosted the talk show “NHL Live” on Sirius-XM, the NHL Network, and nhl.com, and covered the league as a reporter for The New York Times.

Along with hosting Rangers Radio, Steven Gelbs is currently working as a reporter for MSG Varsity. You can catch Steven manning the sidelines in Brooklyn and the Bronx, as well as reporting for Mike Quick’s weekly show, A Quick :60.
Steven spent the last four years in Syracuse, NY, covering Syracuse University Football, Basketball and Lacrosse for WAER-FM. He has also spent parts of the last two years working with “The Hockey Maven,” Stan Fischler, on various projects.
Steven is no stranger to Rangers internet radio. For the past two seasons, he has covered the Blueshirts for the New York Sportscast Network as host of the “NYRangerscast.”
