STAT OF THE GAME
Henrik Lundqvist' 50 saves are the number from this game, but a more dramatic stat was the margin by which the Penguins outshot the Blueshirts, who only fired 16 shots at the two Pittsburgh goaltenders.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Getting a point without Marian Gaborik against a top Eastern Conference team was almost a bonus in terms of the playoff push. Now tied for eighth, the Blueshirts are very much in contention for the postseason and will have Gaborik back before long. Had he played, the Rangers might have won.
