GAME RECAP
Friday night, before an electric, capacity crowd at MSG, the Rangers skated to a scintillating 4-3 must-win victory over Philadelphia in the season’s next-to-last contest. Now even in points with Philly for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Rangers need to win their rematch with the Flyers on Sunday afternoon at the Wachovia Center in order to reach the post-season for a fifth straight year.

By retaking the lead at 4-3 on Gaborik's goal late in the second period, the Blueshirts all but guaranteed themselves a victory. When leading after two periods in 2009-10, they are 32-1-4. When tied after two, their record slips to just 5-7-4.
