STAT OF THE GAME
The Rangers outshot the Devils 37-26, forcing Martin Brodeur to stop 24 shots in only two periods of work. The Rangers also made sure to win a game they led after the second period as they continued one of the previous season's best trends.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

If this was any kind of template for what the Blueshirts will be capable of in 2010-11, then buckle your seatbelts, Rangers fans, because you're in for an exciting ride with what surely appears to be far more goal-scoring this time.
