The Rangers outshot the Devils 37-26, forcing Martin Brodeur to stop 24 shots in only two periods of work. The Rangers also made sure to win a game they led after the second period as they continued one of the previous season's best trends.

1. Alexander Frolov
You couldn't have asked any more from Frolov in his Rangers preseason debut. He scored a beautiful goal with two primary assists, including the winner.
2. Brian Boyle
Fourth-line center notched Rangers’ third goal of the contest with an even strength tally at 14:20 of the second period, and led the team with four hits.
3. Marian Gaborik
He had two power play goals to bookend the scoring for the Blueshirts, including the overtime game-winning goal at 3:12 of the extra frame.
