STAT OF THE GAME
The Rangers scored power-play goals on four consecutive chances against the Devils over the final period and OT, and Michael Del Zotto had a hand in all four.
|
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The most impressive part of this game was that the Rangers were able to pull out a win even though the vast majority of their NHL regulars weren't even playing. New Jersey, on the other hand, dressed its No. 1 line and most of its regulars. This was one preseason victory the Blueshirts had to feel good about. |
