Steven McDonald Extra Effort AwardBlueshirts fan, it's time to cast your vote for the 2011-12 Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award. From now through March 29th, be sure to cast your vote for the Rangers player that you feel "goes above and beyond the call of duty."
Following the 1987-88 season, the Rangers established the award dedicated to paralyzed New York City police officer Steven McDonald, who was shot in the line of duty.
When you cast your vote, you will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes the grand prize -- a spot in the Annual "Blueshirts off Our Back" ceremony after the Rangers vs. Washington Capitals game on April 7th.

Fans may vote for the Rangers player they believe deserves the Extra Effort Award as often as they would like, and every vote submitted will count. However, regardless of the number of votes they cast, they will only be entitled to one Sweepstakes entry and must fill out the contact information each time they vote.
