FOUR FOR THE FUTURE
One of the reasons for the Rangers' big playoff run in 2012 was the team's great work at the NHL Entry Draft. Most of the 2011-12 Blueshirts were draft picks of the team, and that tradition continued on June 22-23 at Pittsburgh's CONSOL Energy Center, where the team chose Minnesota native Brady Skjei, a defenseman, in Round 1, forward Boo Nieves in Round 2, defenseman Calle Andersson in Round 4 and forward Thomas Spelling in Round 5. ![]() |
